Come to wander on the floors of this house steeped in history, to satisfy with literature, with novels or with attempts and to sample a sweetened, salted encas, accompanied with a Nespresso coffee, a Marriage tea or of a Chasson wine…

In the unique place of the director Jean-Charles Tacchella's ancient house, Serge Kaisin, launched an innovative concept, that of a "house - bookshop"... house by the conviviality and the intimacy of the atmosphere... bookshop by the variety and the quality of the assortment.

The bookshop

This bookshop offers you a wide selection of reading. Spaces around several families were so organized. The bookshop contains so 5 half-levels on 300 m ², 7 rooms named with Jean Charles Tacchella's film. Emilie and Muriel welcome and advise you.

- Reception box : Best-sellers / Provence / novelties. A particular effort was made to highlight regional literature notably that of Provence Alpes Cote d’azur. Registered in the territory, the bookshop wants an offensive politics of valuation of the local patrimony.

- Pochothèque : Books accessible to people who don't have well-lined pockets, consumption without limit of literary works, the pochothèque offers a wide selection of the literary current events.

- Space "youth" : In a village, reading begins with the education of the smallest children. "La Maison Tacchella" wished to stock a shelf "youth" to play a true cultural role and discovery of the reading.

- Bédéthèque : This space consisted of three small rooms : It is the former baker's oven. Over-subtle architecture, narrow rooms where children and adults come. It is Serge Kaisin's environment, fascinated with BD. One finds there so surprising editions which delight the collectors, as Tintin in 20 languages.

- "The host" / kitchen / daily life / garden… Settled in the kitchen of the house, books take place between the fireplace, the dresser and the shelves. During the meal, the table is cleared of these books and the plates of the brunch draw guests towards each other.

- Salon of reading / literature / philo / psycho / beautiful books : English-language and beautiful books of the world frame a magnificent headdress from Amazonie. The salon gives on the terrace : a picture window offers a quite unique sight on the colored cliffs colored of the village. This salon preserved all its atmosphere, vast, clear, this room welcomes the readings of spirit.

The tearoomm

The tearoom was imagined to create a friendly space within the bookshop : moment of relaxation and of sharing through to a reading. The atmosphere of " La Maison Tacchella" should be discovered in summer as in winter.

In summer, the magnificent terrace on the last floor offers a beautiful sight on the valley and contributes to the success of the place. It can welcome around thirty place settings. From 9 am in the morning, the lovers meet themselves for breakfast, to take a "Marriage Brothers" tea or a "Nespresso" coffee, or for a brunch in the afternoon.

In winter, the kitchen is a host's table and the guests lunch in this bookish atmosphere : place of meeting and exchanges, discovery of the other one… The intimate place is very friendly because the big table can welcome only 10 people. Laurent proposes a range of elaborated flats as housemade foie gras and varied greedy plates,with fresh products from the soil. The whole is accompanied with wines from the "Domaine Chasson" which one can admire vineyards since the terrace.

A place of exchange and culture

"In this small village, our bookshop owes be a crossroads of exchanges, cultural activities, intellectual food."

Organizing regular animations of which Jean Lacouture's signature succeeding the other local writers (Jacques Salomé, Andrée Moreau, Raymond Jean, Hubert Leconte) and that of Lucien Vassal and Fernand Revilla, the Tacchella team approaches season with an original state of mind and with the passion of books…

So, the bookshop already mobilized to create signatures and conferences. Concerts and exhibitions of paintings were organized.
