This year still, the city of Apt dressed its bullfighter's costumes for our pleasure !
The starting signal of these illuminations was given on November 27th of this year onto the place of la Bouquerie, with a grand fireworks, offered by Aptafêtes, which delighted the eyes of the biggest as smaller persons.
The relay was fast taken by the Commercial and Craft Group which decorated the streets of the city with many illuminated Chridtmas trees. The shops also decorated their shop windows for Christmas. Unmistakably the Celebrations are there. Then let us take advantage of this magic period to rediscover the shops of the city center and look for the presents of our close relations, in a festive and friendly atmosphere. Thanks to the wise advice of the storekeepers in Apt you will find necessarily THE present which will please people you love. This year, the group prepared you, thanks to the support of the municipality, a whole program of grandiose activities to share in family or between friends. An extraordinary event will come "to upset" the cours Lauze de Perret from December 12th till 27th, with the arrival of a big ice rink for the Celebrations.

A story... of chocolate
The brightness of the chocolates depends naturally on the quality of the used cover of chocolate but also and largely on the expertise of your chocolate maker. Indeed, the cover must be melted at first in the bain-marie in a conche for chocolate and it until 50°C for the dark chocolate (45 ° for the milk chocolate and 38 ° for the white chocolate). Then new mixture in the conche and slow reheating until 32 °. At the moment we can proceed to the soaking or to the molding of candies in chocolate.

How to refresh it ?
In a bucket : the bottle taken out of your cellar and plunged into a mixture of water and ice cubes will be at right temperature in 15 to 20 minutes.

The champagne drinks very freshly, never frozen. More the champagne is young and lively, more it will be advisable to serve it freshly (8°). A mature or vintage champagne will bear 10°. It is the too lively freshness which disrupts the perception of aromas and flavours.
You have the impression that all the champagnes are alike and nevertheless they are all different. To realize it, just look at them… You will see light yellow, yellow, green, grey gold or soft pink champagnes. You will discover brilliant champagnes, other sheen or glittering. You will observe that bubbles are never the same. They can be lively, fine or generous and can form on the surface a very discreet or on the contrary intense, fleeting or persistent "string of pearls". Then the next time when you will taste a champagne, do not forget to begin by looking at it.

Father Christmas
Imported in the United States in the XVIIth century by Dutch people, Saint Nicolas undergoes clothing and cultural changes.
It is first of all in 1823, thanks to Clement Clarke Moore's poem entitled A visit from St Nicolas, become a legend and spread all over the world, who depicted for the first time a generous donor under the shape of a small sprite who comes down in fireplaces and travels in the airs, by means of a miniature cart pulled by eight reindeers. The representation of Santa Claus crystallizes then the symbolism of the character of Saint Nicolas : the long white beard, the mitre which became the hat of fur, the big red coat, the journey with hogback replaced by a sled pulled by reindeers.
Then, in 1886, Thomas Nat, draftsman, gives the definitive features of the character recognized by all. Saint Nicolas characterized by its moralizing attributes lost gradually its place for the benefit of an essentially generous and friendly character, Santa Claus : Father Christmas ! Remember that, since then, he does not live any more in the deep forest of central Europe but in the north pole…
