Origin of the Mother's Day

In antique Greece in spring, ceremonies were celebrated in honour of Rhéa, Gods mother. In Rome, on March 1st, Stout women were celebrated.

In France, in 1806, Napoleon, who wanted to advance the family and the fertility in a depopulated France, established holidays honoring the deserving mothers.

It is necessary to listen there, the mothers of big families. In 1928 Mother's Day was officialized.

Nowadays, very fortunately, all the mums are considered as deserving.
This very popular holiday spread worldwide, date whom Mother's Day is wished varies from a country to an other one. Every child has to make his mother happy.
