National cooking competition organized by "Générations Cuisines et Cultures" for the benefit of the association Sol en Si.

This competition, of which the finale will take place on Monday, April 26th in the amphitheater of the Park Chanot in Marseille from 9:30 am till 6 pm, is organized by the association Générations Cuisines et Cultures.
It is dedicated to the young people of catering schools. A selection was made on file to participate in finale. Ten selected candidates, representing their schools, will be in confrontation during jousts of 15 min in public and in music the whole livened up by Eric Roux. At every end of joust, the jury consisted of 4 Better Workers of France and of the president of the competition Jacques Marcon, every members of Générations Cuisines et Cultures, will deliberate to announce the winner. The qualifications will take place in the morning. Half, small and big final after noon. Then will come the delivery of the trophy. It will be thrown in next year for the competition 2011 which will take place in the region of the winner of this year.
The entrance fee is 2 € which will be completely put back to the association Sol en Si.
"Générations cuisines et cultures" was born in 2005. On the base of this movement, a group of friends cooks who wished to meet to discuss and exchange. Ceaselessly in search of new culinary meetings, they begin to meet in every corner of France.
The members of "Générations cuisines et cultures" put a lot for a long time into the education. The association moreover set up 2 types of exchanges, as that of the apprentices or still the professional training courses proposed to the professors of cooking and room (agreement CERPET).
The members of the association participate actively and regularly in all the hotel high schools for animations in association with the professors. It is for it that at instigation of his president Laurent Trochain the association "Générations cuisines et cultures" presents you the 1st final National of the Competition "Cuisine en Joute".

The pupil, selected by the leader of the works of his school, will be accompanied by his professor of cooking as guardian for the preparation of the competition and the day of finale. The pupil will compete for his school.
It will take place between 9:30 am and 5:00 pm live and in public in the amphitheater.
The qualifications will take place in the morning. Four finalists will then be appointed to compete in the afternoon.
The jousts given rhythm on a principle of buzzer and in music will be interrupted with questions of culinary culture.
A trophy will then be handed to the winner.
An exceptional jury, chaired by Jacques Marcon and consisted of 4 Better Workers of France, every members of Générations Cuisines et Cultures.
Everybody can attend the jousts for a 2 € entrance fee. The recipe will be completely put back to the association Sol en Si.
