Rémuzat, small village of the Provençal Drôme, will amaze you.
In the heart of Baronnies, Rémuzat benefits from an exceptional natural environment. The rocky environment which surrounds the village is very rich : cliffs, caves, gorges... It is for that reason that this part of Baronnies was chosen in 1996 as the reintroduction of the vultures wildcats. It majestic animal being large-scale from 2.60 to 2.80 metres was endangered in France. Formerly very present in Méditerrannée, it did not stay there more than in Pyrenees. One of the biggest birds of prey is back in Provence today !
But there are other treasures near Rémuzat. In these natural housings mix rare species : vulture percnoptère, the Golden eagle Aquila chrysaetos. More than hundred species of birds fly in the heavens of Baronnies, we also find there numerous species of bats and Chamoises Rupicapra …
