Walk, hike, ride, trek and basic notions

Weather report
- It is essential to know weather conditions before beginning a walk, a hike, a ride or a trek.
- Carpentras's weather report : 08 92 68 02 84

Equipment to be forgotten under any excuse
- Good walking shoes with good soles.
- Some water and food
- Clothes cutting the wind, protecting from the rain, warm in winter, cap and sun cream in summer !

Season
- Walks, hikes, rides and treks are possible all year long by avoiding if possible the period of hunting, especially for the wild boars (autumn).

Safety
Certain paths are protected but most are in the course of equipment (beaconing, marking out, equipment for your safety). It is advised so to follow paths marked out from topo guides to avoid venturing into risked zones or simply to get lost in private properties. Consult cards "Top 25 de l'IGN".

Walk, hike, ride, trek and marking out

In Vaucluse, there are :
- Hiking trail : white and red lines
- Country hiking trail : yellow and red lines
- Walking trail : yellow, blue, green lines or circles.
- Pony trekking trail : orange
- Riding trail : Two circles attached to a red - yellow triangle
- National Office of forests : red border on white bottom (particle limit) or white (common limit)

Generally :
- Double marking out indicates a change of direction.
- In order, the priority of marking out is given to hiking trail, country hiking trail and walking trail to multiply marking out.
Regrettably this principle in the course of application is not always respected.
