If you stop at Coustellet, you will doubtless notice that it’s not typical village of Provence as we imagine it. Here no place with fountain sheltered with hundred-years-old trees, any medieval monument.
Coustellet is originally only a quiet small hamlet, counting that some inhabitants, who were doubtless far from imagining the exceptional development that they will know during these last decades.
This small part of Provence, in the doors of the Regional Natural Reserve of Luberon, is ideally placed. Indeed the extension of this hamlet is due to its strategic position on the main axes of communication of the department. Coustellet became in the course of time a great center of life. These last years a big number of qualitative shops were born there (restaurant, florist, coffee …).
People come from four places of Provence for its famous farmer market. The producers of the region get together on Sunday morning and bring you the best products of Provence. You will find there fruits and vegetables, honey, flowers and naturally the accent of the South. Here, it’s not a market of Provence " for tourist ", it‘s the market of authentic Provence and the Provençals do not make a mistake there …
In the crossroads of Apt, Cavaillon, l’Isle sur Sorgue and Gordes, ideal point of departure for your holidays in Provence, Coustellet is also a stage on the road of the lavander, do not miss the museum which is dedicated to it. And to amuse you in the evening, come to " La Gare ", the music and a warm atmosphere wait for you there.
At Coustellet you will find all which you need, to treat you, to please you and to discover Provence and Luberon.
