Vestige of the medieval time, this feudal door and the ramparts of Eyguières were built in these disturbed time to protect the inhabitants from the Saracen invader. Doors, closed at night, protected the village and the inhabitants from many threats, in particular the terrifying epidemic of plague which ravaged Provence.
