Lamanon - 13113 - Lamanon castle

Lamanon castle

By arriving around the castle, you will perceive a monumental path of plane trees lining the road, this one was classified in 1918 "natural monument". Lamanon castle built in 1660, is surrounded with a beautiful park, it is a private property. At the origin of the construction of this prestigious house, one of the Lords of Cadenet, doubtless attracted by the beauty and the tranquility of this place. Then by 1745, it is the marquess Marck Tripoli de Panisse who decided, after authorization of the king of France, to give life to this small place of the Alpilles, by making build about fifty houses near the castle. These small houses will serve to accommodate the workers and the staff working on the castle, as well as their family. So was born the current village of Lamanon.
