Bandol : small port of Provence...

This place is known since millenniums by the sailors who came there to shelter during storms. The bay protected from winds and gives the sensation of a haven of peace coiled between the hills of pines and willows. In the end of 16-th century Duke of Epernon, governor of Provence, chooses this place to build there a fort. It is for military Antoine Boyer that the fief is given, his descendants will make famous Bandol from the 18-th century due to its wine. The port and the village develop, wines of Bandol are exported in great quantities by sea route, and their fame even reaches the table of the king of France.

- Fondation Van Rogger

This studio built by the artist himself is constituted with seven buildings decorated with frescoes, twelve rooms of exhibition and a presentation of sculptures outdoors. Foundation created in the death of the painter works in the protection, in the broadcasting and in the animation of this patrimony. For it, it organizes exhibitions, administers cultural events around private viewings and publishes a biannual review. The place is also opened to the other artists.

- Musée des Vins et Spiritueux
