The Luberon region in Provence is well known across the world for the amazing natural beauty. Luberon traditional villages

This is a collection of antique villages that are mainly located in traditional set ups. It is one of the areas that are recommended to be visited, as the amazing scenes will blow your mind. Passing through the villages presents even more fun since it is one of the main highlights of France. This is the region that is mainly responsible for the preservation of the French countryside. Luberon in Vaucluse

Vaulcuse, a perched village, is a wonderful area that is credited with the source of Sorgue River. Fountaine de Vaucluse, though not a perched village in Vaucluse, also doubles as the source of most of the fresh water rivers here. Water flows steadily through this region and many tourists admire the beauty of the waterfalls.

Luberon Regional Natural Park

This is a large park whose area extends to over 500 square miles. It runs from Manosque in the western region to the Cavaillon area in the eastern side.

The park has an amazing route through which you can drive as you enjoy the great natural beauty herein. Due to the expansiveness of the park, it has an array of environments, which are great habitations for the flora and fauna that are found here.

The red ochre cliffs, forests made of cedar, and white limestone cliffs are such habitations where animals and plants find great homes.

Menerbes.

In order to enjoy unmatched fun in this park, it is advisable that you start from Cavaillon. It is from this point that you can view the amazing beauty of Luberon through the Chapelle St. Jacques. Once you try this view, your day is set to enjoy maximum fun and more treats in the park. While in Cavaillon, make sure you taste the melons grown here if you happen to visit while they are still in season. Stop at Oppede-le-Vieux , a perfect pedestrian-only village located at the hilltop. From this amazing point, there are plenty of wonderful views to enjoy such as the 12th century church and the remains of the old chateaux. Scale up the hill to have some breathtaking views of the cliffs and forests that are located around the town area. Menerbes, is an amazing village that is located at a stone’s throw from this natural forest. It is stunningly beautiful, as you will see. While in Mernebes, do not miss out an opportunity to taste some of the classic cuisines offered here. Go towards the east to enjoy more fun in other areas such as Lacoste.

Luberon is a classic definition of the wonderful combination of wine lovers, cyclists, foodies, and amazing parks that attract all and sundry from all walks of life. You might find yourself in the Provence during the Tour de France, since it is staged here. What an amazing time you could have then!
